The date of conversion of the F mechanisms to the Grants.gov/NIH electronic submission process has been delayed (see NOT-OD-07-038).  The funding opportunity announcement, PA-07-002, Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (NRSA) for Individual Predoctoral Fellows (F31) had been set to expire prior to the previously set conversion date of this program (see Electronic Receipt Timeline).  As a result of the delay, the expiration date for this FOA is being extended to August 9, 2008. The participating NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs) will continue accepting paper applications in response to this FOA (see: Standard Postmark/Submission Dates for Competing Applications) until this mechanism is converted to electronic submission via Grants.gov, and the use of the SF 424 Research and Related (R&R) forms. Updates on the status of the transition to electronic submission are posted on the NIH eRA Electronic Submission of Grant Applications Web site.

Please contact the scientific/research contact at a participating Institute with any questions concerning a potential application for an individual predoctoral fellowship (see https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/contacts/pa-07-002_contacts.htm for a roster of scientific/research contacts).
