The Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, NIH, the Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW), and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio will present the SCAW Winter Conference, 21st Century Challenges: Keeping Pace with Changing Research Programs and Technology. The meeting will be held December 6-7, 2004, at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The SCAW workshop will include topics such as Infectious disease research, biohazards and select agents, facility construction and renovation, and new animal enrichment practices.
