Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to inform applicants of the early expiration of PAR-24-213 NINDS Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) Advanced Postdoctoral Career Transition Award (K99/R00 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed). The last receipt dates for PAR-24-213 will be February 12, 2026 for new applications and March 12, 2026 for resubmission applications. The remaining receipt dates scheduled after March 12, 2026, are canceled, and NIH will not accept applications under this NOFO beyond that date.

After the expiration of this NOFO, interested applicants are encouraged to submit to the Parent K99/R00 (Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed), PA-24-194.

Active K99/R00 awards made under this NOFO are not affected by this Notice and are anticipated to continue until the end of their project period, as scheduled. K99/R00 applications submitted to this NOFO for the February and March 2026 receipt dates will still undergo peer review and will be considered for funding in accordance with NIH priorities and the availability of funds.
