NIH Blueprint and BRAIN ENDURE (RFA-NS-24-014) Webinar: Partnership and Collaboration Guidance for the Enhancing Neuroscience Diversity through Undergraduate Research Education Experiences (BP BRAIN-ENDURE) (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) Program
The BP BRAIN-ENDURE R25 aims to raise interest and opportunities in neuroscience research for individuals who are typically underrepresented in the field. The goal of this program is to provide such individuals with training at the undergraduate level, so that they are prepared to enter and successfully complete neuroscience Ph.D. programs. The initiative will support two-year neuroscience research education experiences comprised of year-round authentic neuroscience research projects, research and career development, and establishment of professional networks, implemented through collaborative partnerships integrated across different educational institution types. ENDURE will provide this undergraduate training through partnerships between research-intensive institutions and institutions with a substantial enrollment of neuroscience majors from diverse groups.
During this meeting, we will focus specifically on the requirements of the ENDURE program regarding partnerships and collaborations. We will also provide examples and resources to enable applicants to develop strategies and understand the review criteria for what constitutes a competitive ENDURE program with appropriate networks. There will be an opportunity to meet with NIH staff after the webinar during office hours. For general guidance on specific parts of the ENDURE application and forms, please review the 2023 webinar.
