The purpose of this notice is to inform applicants of a change to the Application and Submission Information - Post Submission Materials allowed for RFA-NS-24-005 BRAIN Initiative: Optimization of Instrumentation and Device Technologies for Recording and Modulation in the Nervous System (U01 Clinical Trials Not Allowed). This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) has been modified to allow one-page of preliminary data as a post-submission material. This notice is effective for the January 19, 2024 due date and subsequent due dates. Changes to the NOFO are shown below.

Applicants are required to follow the instructions for post-submission materials, as described in the policy. This NOFO will accept a one-page update with preliminary data as post-submission materials.
The deadline for submitting all post-submission materials, including preliminary data, will be 30 days before the study section meeting.
All other materials listed in NOT-OD-19-083 as acceptable post-submission materials will continue to be accepted if submitted 30 days before the study section meeting.
All other aspects of the NOFO remain unchanged.
