Purpose

This Notice is to inform the scientific community of a technical assistance webinar for RFA-LM-16-001 "NLM Institutional Training Grants for Research Training in Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (T15)".

NLM will hold a pre-application webinar on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm EDT to provide an opportunity for NLM staff to explain the goals of RFA-LM-16-001, "NLM Institutional Training Grants for Research Training in Biomedical Informatics and Data Science", and to answer questions from interested parties. All prospective applicants are invited to participate. This session will provide a brief overview of the funding announcement, followed by responses to questions received in advance. Topics will include program goals, budget factors, review criteria and timing of awards.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to submit their questions about the FOA to nlmepinfo@mail.nih.gov in advance of the event. For questions, please enter "Question NLM Training" in the subject line of your message. Details and a web link to join the pre-application webinar will be posted on the NLM Extramural programs web site at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep by close of business on March 18, 2016.

Following the webinar, a link to the questions and answers archive will be posted at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep and will be available there until April 19, 2016. Potential applicants who miss the webinar are encouraged to use the archive as a source of answers to their questions. Any additional questions not addressed in the archive can be directed to the contact listed below.

Participation in this webinar, although encouraged, is optional and is not required for the submission of an application to RFA-LM-16-001.
