The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is notifying potential applicants that its K-22 Program, NLM Early Career Development Award for Informatics, announced in PA-03-090, will expire in March 2006. NLM does not intend to re-issue this program. No new or amended applications to PA-03-090 will be accepted after March 1, 2006 . Applications received by March 1, 2006 and those already received, will continue through the usual review and decision processes.
Applicants interested in transition support for moving from their postdoctoral research training to independent informatics research careers should use the new NIH Pathway to Independence Award announced in the NIH guide at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-133.html. NLM participates in this program announcement.
