Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to update the award budget information in NHLBI's RFA-HL-27-004 "Limited Competition: Small Grant Program for NHLBI K01/K08/K23/K25 Recipients (R03 Clinical Trial Optional)". Specifically, direct costs are being reduced from $85,000 per year to $75,000 per year. This Notice applies to applications submitted to the October 6, 2026 due date and beyond.

For applications submitted for the July 09, 2026 receipt date, application budgets are limited to direct costs up to $85,000 per year, but must reflect actual needs of the proposed project.
For receipt dates on or after October 06, 2026, application budgets are limited to direct costs up to $75,000 per year, but must reflect actual needs of the proposed project.
