Corrections to PAR-10-285 NHLBI Program Project (P01) Applications

Purpose

On September 21, 2010, the NHLBI issued a Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA): PAR-10-285 (NHLBI Program Project (P01) Applications), http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-10-285.html.

As a result of review and discussions with potential applicants, several corrections to this FOA are being made.

Applicants are also urged to review http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/funding/policies/ppg.htm and http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/phs398/phs398.pdf in addition to PAR-10-285 and this Notice when preparing NHLBI program project applications.

Listed below are the corrections to PAR-10-285:


2. Funds Available

Applicants should discuss equipment requests with NHLBI staff early in the planning phase and must receive permission from the Institute to include equipment costs in their budget request.

NEW LANGUAGE: paragraph 2. Sentence 5.
Applicants should discuss equipment requests with NHLBI staff early in the planning phase and must receive permission from the Institute to include equipment costs in their budget request if total direct costs in any year will exceed the budget cap ($1,515,000).
