Notice of Intent to Publish: Near-Term and Revolutionary Sequencing Technology Development RFAs for Regular and SBIR/STTR Programs

Very shortly, the NHGRI plans to issue six (6) Requests for Applications (RFAs) that will solicit applications for the development of near-term and revolutionary genome sequencing technologies. The mechanism that will be used for each of these topics will be R21, R21/R33, R01, SBIR (R43/R44) and STTR(R41/R42). The receipt date for Letters of Intent will be January 17, 2006 and the application submission date will be February 17, 2006 . The research scope will be essentially the same as that of previously issued RFAs on the same subjects: (1) Near-Term Technology Development for Genome Sequencing ( and (2) Revolutionary Genome Sequencing Technologies (
