Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform applicants about an update to the budget requirements for Administrative and Education-Outreach Cores for RFA-HD-24-010, National Centers for Translational Research in Reproduction and Infertility (NCTRI) (P50 Clinical Trial Optional). Specifically, the Administrative Core must include at least $50,000 per year in its budget to support pilot studies.  Additionally, the Education-Outreach Core must have a budget of at least $50,000 per year to support activities associated with community outreach and education.  Finally, the proposed budgets must allocate travel funds for Center PD(s)/PI(s) and Project/Core Leads to attend NCTRI meetings.

Budget (Administrative Core)

Budget forms appropriate for the specific component will be included in the application package.

The budget for the Administrative Core must include $50,000 direct costs per year to support pilot studies. Procedures should be in place to ensure that new faculty/senior trainees are provided with funds to develop projects, and that these projects are within the scope of the Center. Funds should also be allocated for the PD(s)/PI(s) of the center and the Leads of the Projects and Cores to attend up to two meetings a year, one a meeting of the most appropriate Research Focus Group (a group of investigators from multiple centers with similar research interests, e.g., male infertility), and one the Research Meeting or the Center Directors' meeting, occurring in alternative years.
