On Aug 18, 2022, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development issued two HEAL KIDS Pain Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs): (1) RFA-HD-24-011 HEAL Initiative: HEAL KIDS (Knowledge, Innovation and Discovery Studies) Pain: Acute Pain Clinical Trials Program (U01 Clinical Trial Required); and (2) RFA-HD-24-012, HEAL Initiative: HEAL KIDS (Knowledge, Innovation and Discovery Studies) Pain Program Resource and Data Center (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
This Notice provides information regarding an upcoming pre-application webinar for the above-referenced NOFOs. The questions from this webinar will inform Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the above-referenced NOFOs. The FAQs will be posted on the event page website at the following link: https://heal.nih.gov/news/events/heal-kids-pain-ta-webinar shortly after the webinar.

The webinar will be hosted through Zoom. Participants must register in advance for the webinar through the following link, after which a link to join the webinar will be e-mailed to the participant: https://nih.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_uvUKOMI6TWqvTj6wveFuIg.
The webinar on September 19, 2023 will:
- Provide an overview of the RFA-HD-24-011 and RFA-HD-24-012
- Review the goals and expectations of the HEAL KIDS Pain Acute Pain Clinical Trials Program
- Address questions from potential applicants.
The planned webinar is optional. Attendance is not required to submit an application in response to the NOFO. A recording of the webinar will be made available shortly after the webinar at: https://videocast.nih.gov/.
All prospective applicants are invited to attend the webinar and are strongly encouraged to send relevant questions prior to the webinar to maximize the use of time. Questions should be emailed to by Sept 14, 2023 to sstarke@infinityconferences.com. These questions will be prioritized during the Q&A portion of the webinar. While an effort will be made to include all questions in the webinar, it is possible that not all questions will be addressed during the event due to time constraints.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the FAQs, which may be updated at any time without additional notice, prior to submitting their application.
