Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to provide clarification of the research objectives described in PAR-08-138: Genetic Screens to Enhance Zebrafish Research (R01) for the scientific community. Applications are encouraged to t seek to adapt existing phenotypic screening to support the high-throughput characterization of mutants generated by large-scale mutagenesis projects. The focus of the application is expected to be to the pilot testing of the screening method. Large-scale screening efforts and the establishment of screening centers as community resources are not the intent of this FOA.

All other aspects of the FOA remain unchanged.
