National Institute of Child Health and Human Development

The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)
reannounces support of the Neural Tube Defect (NTD) Facility. The Facility is
a research resource that maintains and distributes mouse models for NTDs.
The resource was established over 10 years ago with the purpose of making
these models available to the scientific community at a reasonable cost.
While animals are available to all investigators, preference will be given to
NIH extramural and intramural biomedical research scientists. Currently, the
NTD Facility is operated under an NICHD Contract (N01-HD-5-3230) to The
Jackson Laboratories at Bar Harbor, Maine. The contract was recently
continued for another five-year period. To view currently available models
and to apply for services, please see the NTD Resource website at:
http://www.jax.org/ntd/index.html.
