The purpose of this Notice is to revise language regarding the eligibility of foreign components in PAR-19-343 “Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) Postdoctoral Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity (K99/R00 - Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)."

1. Eligible Applicants
Current Language
Foreign Institutions
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.
Revised Language: Foreign Components as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement are allowed (e.g., collaborations with investigators at a foreign site anticipated to result in co-authorship, use of facilities or instrumentation at a foreign site, etc.). When proposing foreign components, applicants must follow all instructions in the SF424 R&R Application Guide.
