Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to revise instructions for the inclusion of a Candidate Eligibility Statement in PAR-19-343 “Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) Postdoctoral Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity (K99/R00 - Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)." Newly added instructions in the SF424 Application Guide (released March 2, 2020) for diversity-related Career Development FOAs created duplicate instructions for verifying candidate eligibility in two different sections of the application. This Notice serves to correct these overlapping instructions by removing the FOA-specific instruction in the MOSAIC K99/R00 FOA. Applicants must follow the instructions in the SF424 Application Guide regarding documenting how the candidate’s participation will further the goals of the career development program to promote diversity in health-related research.
