The purpose of this Notice is to clarify the application types that may be submitted to PAR-16-241 "Limited Competition: Renewal of Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE)(P20)". The following is detailed information about these modifications.

Application Types Allowed

Current Language:
New - After an unsuccessful attempt at renewal, applications can be submitted as new. However, only applicants holding a phase 1 COBRE (P20) award are eligible to apply.
Renewal
Resubmission

Modified Language:
Renewal of COBRE Phase I
Resubmission of Renewal of COBRE Phase I
New Applications can only be submitted as New after unsuccessful attempts at both a Renewal and a Resubmission of a Renewal.

All other aspects of this FOA remain the same.
