Purpose

Several large initiatives of NIGMS have been in transition for the past few years, including the Pharmacogenomics Research Network. The institute is committed to bolstering investigator-initiated research opportunities, and the National Advisory General Medical Sciences Council believes that the strategy presented to them in September 2013 is now well underway.  Accordingly, NIGMS has decided that after funding selected centers that were considered at the May 2015 Council meeting, it will discontinue the funding opportunity announcement (FOA) PAR-14-075 "Research Centers for Pharmacogenomics in Precision Medicine (P50)". The FOA is terminated effective immediately and no P50 applications will be accepted for the 2015 and 2016 due dates. Investigators are encouraged to consider other investigator-initiated funding opportunities at NIH to support their research activities.
