Purpose

The Funding Opportunity Announcement PA-11-009 "Translational Scholar Career Awards in Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine (K23)" will be extended by two funding cycles and the FOA will expire on September 8, 2014. After that time, the Institute plans to harmonize the requirements of the program with the NIGMS-specific criteria for PA-11-194 "Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award (Parent K23)". NIH anticipates that the Parent K23 will be updated and reissued for due dates after September 8, 2014, thus there will not be a gap in opportunities to apply for funding.
