NOTICE OF LIMITED COMPETITION: SUPPLEMENTS FOR ENHANCED EVALUATION ANALYSIS OF MARC OR MBRS FUNDED PROJECTS Release Date: October 9, 2001 NOTICE: NOT-GM-02-001 National Institute of General Medical Sciences The National Institute of General Medical Sciences will expand the allowable costs for evaluation projects to grantees of the Minority Opportunities in Research (MORE) Division to include inquiry into factors affecting student outcomes from the programs. The programs affected are: Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) U-STAR program (T34), Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) Research Initiative for Student Enhancement (R25), MBRS Initiative for Minority Student Development (R25) program, and the Bridges to Baccalaureate and Bridges to Doctorate (R25) programs. The purpose of this announcement is to encourage applicants to expand their evaluation activities to identify causal factors involved in the efficacy of their intervention strategies. Competition will be limited to currently funded MORE Division grants. The receipt date for supplemental applications will be December 21, 2001.
