The NEI wishes to clarify issues concerning PAR-05-110, “NEI Translational Research Program on Therapy for Visual Disorders”, which was released in the May 20, 2005, issue of the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-05-110.html.

Executive Summary, Bullet 2: the last sentence should read: “Applicants may submit only one competitive renewal application of a project funded under this announcement.”

Section II. Award Information, 1. Mechanism(s) of Support: the second paragraph should read, “Applicants may submit only one competitive renewal application of a project funded under this announcement.”

Section IV. Application and Submission Information, 2. Content and form of Application Submission: The following sentence should be added as the third paragraph of this section: “The Research Plan Sections A through D are not to exceed 40 pages.”
