The purpose of this Notice is to provide clarification of the eligibility criteria for the Transition to Independent Environmental Health Research (TIEHR) Career Development Award (K22), PA-12-188.
Part 2, Section III. Eligibility Information, 1. Eligible Applicants, Eligible Individuals (Program Director/Principal Investigator). In the paragraph beginning, "Candidates must be within 2 years of their first independent faculty position at the time of submission…"

Candidates must be within 2 years of their first independent faculty position at the time of submission of the first application, and within 3 years at the time of submission of any amended application.
CHANGED TO READ
Candidates must be within 3 years of their first independent faculty position at the time of submission of the application. This applies to both the original and the amended application. The required letter from the Department Chair should state the date of the start of the faculty appointment. This will be used for determination of eligibility.
All other aspects of the FOA remain unchanged.
