PRE-APPLICATION MEETING FOR THE RFA ON BREAST CANCER AND THE ENVIRONMENT 
RESEARCH CENTERS (RFA-ES-03-001)

This notice is an addendum to RFA-ES-03-001, "Breast Cancer and the 
Environment Research Centers," which was released in the NIH Guide for Grants 
and Contracts on November 11, 2002.  The program staff of the NIEHS and NCI 
will hold an informational pre-application meeting for investigators planning 
to submit applications in response to this RFA. This meeting will provide 
prospective applicants with information about the preparation of an 
application and will address questions posed by the audience about the RFA.

The public meeting will be held on Friday, December 13, 2002 from 10:00 AM to 
2:30 PM at the NIEHS Conference Center (Rooms 101-AB) located at 111 T.W. 
Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.  Announcements 
pertaining to the pre-application meeting including the availability of a 
real-time Internet simulcast will be available at:  
http://www.niehs.nih.gov/dert/programs/breastenv.htm.  

Due to security concerns, NIEHS requires that all on-site attendees register 
via the Internet at http://www.niehs.nih.gov/dert/programs/breastenv.htm by 
Wednesday, December 11.  All on-site attendees are required to show two forms 
of identification (i.e., driver's license plus one of the following: company 
ID, government ID, or university ID) and provide the name of the meeting 
(Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Centers Pre-application Meeting). 
Frequently asked questions and presentations concerning the pre-application 
process will be available at the above mentioned website after the meeting.  

Attendance is not a prerequisite to applying for a grant announced by this 
RFA.  Attendees must pay for their own travel and accommodation costs.  This 
workshop will be open to any individual or organization interested in applying 
to this RFA.
