Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to inform applicants of a clarification and change to budget limits for PAR-23-114, "Enhancing Science, Technology, EnginEering, and Math Educational Diversity (ESTEEMED) Research Education Experiences (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)."   

The following sections of the NOFO are revised accordingly:

1. Section II. Other Budget Award Information, Personnel Costs:

Currently reads:

“Total personnel salary requested for PI(s), program coordinators, and administrative/clerical costs, etc., may not exceed $80,000.”

Revised to read (changes shown in bold italics):

Total personnel salary requested for PI(s), program coordinators, and administrative/clerical costs, etc., may not exceed $80,000 per year.

1. Section II. Other Budget Award Information, Participant Costs:

Currently reads:

Participants, while in the program, will be allowed $500 per year to travel to relevant scientific meetings. In addition, participants undertaking an off-campus summer research experience will be allowed an additional $1000 for travel to the site if this cost is not covered by other sources.

Revised to read (changes shown in bold italics):

Participants, while in the program, will be allowed $1000 per year to travel to relevant scientific meetings. In addition, participants undertaking an off-campus summer research experience will be allowed an additional $500 for travel to the site if this cost is not covered by other sources.

All other aspects of this NOFO remain unchanged.

This change is effective immediately.
