The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), (http://www.nibib.nih.gov/) on behalf of the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, announce the termination of the PAR-06-504: Enabling Technologies for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (R01) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/par-06-504.html).  Applications to this FOA will NOT be accepted after the September 20, 2008 receipt deadline.

NIH’s interest in this area continues to be high. As applications concerning the development of new enabling technologies for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine are increasingly being submitted to the R01 (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-07-070.html) and R21 (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-181.html)  parent announcements, as well as the bioengineering research grant announcements (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-07-352.html and  https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-07-279.html) , the need for this FOA with special receipt and review has passed.  Applicants desirous of submitting revised applications originally submitted through PAR-06-504 are encouraged to use the parent R01 FOA submission process.
