This addendum is to announce that NIBIB will participate in PAR-05-057. The goal of PAR-05-057 is to support the continued development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of existing software that will evolve into well-designed systems useful to a broad community. The mechanisms to be used are R01, as well as competing supplements to existing R01, R33, P01, P41, P50 and P60 grants in other participating Institutes or Centers. The objectives of this PA coincide with the goals of the NIBIB in the area of bioinformatics, computational modeling and analysis since the NIBIB has an interest in the development of novel tools that will allow for development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of existing software that can be broadly applied.
