The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB)
at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will award National Research
Service Award (NRSA) Institutional Training Grants (T32) to eligible
institutions to develop or enhance research training opportunities for
individuals, selected by the institution, who are training for careers
in multi-disciplinary research concerned with biology and medicine. To
facilitate these awards, the NIBIB will participate in NIH program
announcement (PA) PA-00-103 titled "NIH National Research Service Award
Institutional Research Training Grants" (released June 1, 2000). This
PA provides specifications for the NIH T32 program including

national biomedical research agenda.
Consistent with the mission of the Institute, the NIBIB will award T32
grants in areas associated with bioengineering, biomedical imaging, and
multi-disciplinary research aimed at addressing problems in biology and
medicine. NIBIB awards will be for either pre-doctoral or post-
doctoral research training experiences.
Deadlines for pre-doctoral training applications to be received at the
NIH in response to this notice are January 10, May 10, and September 10
annually. Post-doctoral training applications will be accepted only
