Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to provide clarification of the research objectives described in PAR-08-139: Enhancing Zebrafish Research with Research Tools and Techniques (R01) for the scientific community.  Applications will be accepted that seek to develop novel tools and methods for high-throughput phenotypic screening to support the characterization of mutants generated by large-scale mutagenesis projects.  The focus of the application must be restricted to development of the screening tool and a small pilot or validation screen.  Large-scale screening efforts and the establishment of screening centers as community resources remain outside the scope of this FOA.

All other aspects of the FOA remain unchanged.
