The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) announces a clarification of the conditions for eligible participation for the NIDDK Ancillary studies in the Natural History of Acute Kidney Injury (U01) funding initiative (RFA-DK-07-009) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-DK-07-009.html). The revised policy for participation, noted in Section III (3. Other-Special Eligibility Criteria) is:

- The study proposed by Participating Clinical Centers (PCCs) must be ancillary to an ongoing clinical study. The ongoing clinical study does NOT have to be funded by NIH.
