(NIDCD) announces updated administrative guidelines on the eligibility
criteria and application process for NIDCD Research Core Center (P30)
grants. The updated "Guidelines for NIDCD Research Core Centers (P30)"

The P30 is an institutional award, made in the name of a principal
investigator, to support centralized resources and facilities shared by
investigators with existing research projects. The overall goal of a
Core Center is to promote cooperative interaction among basic science
and/or clinical investigators in a manner that will enrich the
effectiveness of ongoing research and/or promote new research
directions.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:
As of the February 1, 2004 submission deadline, all applications must
be responsive to the new guidelines. Applications will be accepted at
the standard application deadlines, which are available at
http://grants.nih.gov/grants/dates.htm. Application deadlines are also
indicated in the PHS 398 application kit.
