Purpose

This Notice informs potential applicants of changes to the Application Types Allowed for Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) PA-20-174 - "Independent Scientist Award (Parent K02 - Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)", PA-20-171 - "Independent Scientist Award (Parent K02 - Independent Clinical Trial Required)", and PA-20-173 - "Independent Scientist Award (Parent K02 Independent Basic Experimental Studies with Humans Required)". As of November 1st, 2021 competitive renewal applications, including both the 01 and A1 submissions, will no longer be accepted by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
