Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to change the Eligibility Information of Foreign Institutions to allow foreign components for PA-17-112, "Neuroscience Research on Drug Abuse (R21)."

The following section of PA-17-112 has been revised:

Part 2. Section III. Eligibility Information
1. Eligible Applicants

Foreign Institutions

Currently reads:
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statementare not allowed.

Modified to read:
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

All other aspects of this FOA remain the same.
