Purpose

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to highlight the interest of NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences in receiving investigator-initiated applications supporting multi-level intervention studies that address individual and system level barriers to transitions from pediatric to adult care for survivors of childhood and adolescent cancers.

The RFA “Addressing Barriers to Healthcare Transitions for Survivors of Childhood and Adolescent Cancers (R01 Clinical Trial Optional" was published June 7, 2024. 

The pre-application webinar, to be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 11:00 am – 12:00pm ET, will provide overall information about the NOFO and address any special requirements for applications submitted to this funding opportunity including the development and testing of interventions and strategies that promote high-quality transitional care and continued engagement of survivors of childhood and adolescent cancers to ensure these survivors receive appropriate surveillance and care into adulthood. It is anticipated that this research will provide critical evidence for establishing best practices and standards of care that can be widely disseminated and adopted. The webinar will conclude with an open question and answer session. 

Potential applicants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance to NCIHDRP@mail.nih.gov.

Note: Questions about the scope of the NOSI will be addressed during the webinar; however, questions about investigators' specific study aims will not be addressed in the webinar and can be directed to one of the points of contact for this NOFO.
