National Cancer Institute (NCI)
The purpose of this notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) will participate, effective immediately in PAR-23-301, Developing novel theory and methods for understanding the genetic architecture of complex human traits (R21 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
The following changes and updates are made to PAR-23-301 (shown in bold italics) to reflect NCIs participation:

National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)
Assistance Listing Number(s)

Specific Areas of Research Interest
NCI is interested in applications that use systems epidemiology modeling or analysis approaches to advance the understanding of multilevel and dynamic factors that affect cancer risk and related outcomes, including factors that contribute to cancer disparities. For applications to be considered responsive to NCI interest, they will need to include all three of the following components: i) integrate germline genetic and environmental data, ii) utilize data across multiple scales (e.g., biological, social, or ecological organization), and iii) consider dynamism or multiple time points in the analysis.
