Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to amend PA-18-748 "Research Supplements to Promote Data Sharing in Cancer Epidemiology Studies (Admin Supp Clinical Trial Not Allowed)" so that Foreign Institutions can apply.

The following specific change is implemented to the Foreign Institutions paragraph of Section III:

Part 2. Section III. Eligibility Information

1. Eligible Applicants
Eligible Organizations

The language towards the end of the bulleted organizations/institutions in this section of PA-18-748 currently reads as follows:

Foreign Institutions

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

That language has been revised and implemented as follows (in italics):

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

All other aspects of this Funding Opportunity Announcement remain unchanged.
