Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to clarify that the expected scientific scope of applications submitted to PAR-16-349 "New Informatics Tools and Methods to Enhance U.S. Cancer Surveillance Research (UG3/UH3)" may cover one or more (if appropriate and justified) of the three defined Research Areas.

Accordingly, the corresponding sentence (in Section I, inside the "Research Objectives" section) is adjusted to read as shown below (the change is marked in italics).
