Amendment

The purpose of this Notice is to inform applicants of a change regarding the acceptance of revised (amended) applications submitted in response to program announcement PAR-06-220, entitled “NCI Mentored Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K01)” which was released on March 8, 2006.  PAR-06-220 provides support for a mentored training period of 3, 4, or 5 years in duration and represents the reissuance of program announcement PAR-03-016 for the “NCI Mentored Career Development Award for Underrepresented Minorities (K01).”

Effective immediately, applications that were originally submitted in response to PAR-03-016 and that might be revised (amended) and resubmitted in response to PAR-06-220 will not be accepted after the Nov. 1, 2006, revised application receipt date.  The only allowable receipt date deadlines for applications originally submitted in response to PAR-03-016 and revised for submission in response to PAR-06-220 are: July 1, 2006, and November 1, 2006.  All new and any subsequent revised NCI Mentored Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K01) applications submitted after the November 1, 2006, receipt date must be submitted under the new K01 program announcement, PAR-06-220, only.
