Purpose

This Notice is to inform applicants that the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine announces its intention to participate, effective with the February 16, 2010 receipt date in the NIH R21 Parent Announcement for R21 applications ( NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Program (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/r21.htm). Participation in this Program Announcement by other NIH Institutes continues, unaffected by this Notice.

All researchers applying for NCCAM R21 grants (including resubmission applications) are encouraged to contact their NCCAM Program Officer (http://nccam.nih.gov/grants/contact/) to discuss whether the project is best suited for an R21 or another type of grant.
