The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine announced on March 15, 2006, that the Developmental Centers for Research on CAM (DCRC) initiatives (PAR-06-108 and RFA-AT-06-001; initiative texts at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-06-108.html and http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-AT-06-001.html, respectively) will accept applications with multiple PIs, as part of an NIH pilot program.

NCCAM will hold an informational conference call on Thursday, July 6, 2006, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET to clarify issues specific to multi-PI applications submitted in response to the DCRC initiatives. During the call, NCCAM staff will review relevant forms and issues and answer applicants questions.

Applicants and their colleagues wishing to register for the call should send an email including their names, departments, institutions, email address and a phone number to nccamdcrcinfo@mail.nih.gov. This information will be used to contact registrants and provide them with information they will need in order to participate in the phone call. Registration is free, but must be completed no later than 5 p.m. ET on Friday, June 30, 2006.

In advance of the call, applicants planning to submit multi-PI applications are urged to consult the relevant NIH Guide notice (NOT-AT-06-003; http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-AT-06-003.html) and the links therein for information and FAQs relevant to multi-PI applications (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/multi_pi/index.htm).
