Purpose

Effective for application due dates on or after June 12, 2024, NIAID will no longer accept renewal (Type 2) applications through the following notices of funding opportunities (NOFOs) or any reissues:Midcareer Investigator Award in Patient Oriented Research (Parent K24 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed) and Midcareer Investigator Award in Patient-Oriented Research (Parent K24 Independent Clinical Trial Required).

Additionally, NIAID will not accept applications from full professors. At the time of application, applicants should be mid-career faculty at the Associate Professor level or equivalent.
