Purpose

This Notice informs potential applicants of modifications to the description of Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards for Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PAR-20-108, “International Research in Infectious Diseases (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed).”

Effective immediately, the following section of of PAR-20-108 has been modified as indicated below:

Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards

The number of awards is contingent upon NIH appropriations and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications

Modified to Read (changes shown in bold italics):

NIAID intends to commit an estimated total of $1.4 million to fund 6-10 awards in FY2022, depending on the number of meritorious applications.

All other aspects of this FOA remain the same.
