Purpose

On October 1, 2018, 2018, the NIH issued the following Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs): RFA-AI-18-046 and RFA-AI-18-047.

To assist potential applicants with the above-referenced FOAs, this Notice provides the following information:

A Pre-Application Information Webinar for potential Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units and Leadership Group for an Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Consortium applicants will be provided on November 13, 2018.

Time: 2:00-3:30 PM ET

The intent of the pre-application webinar is to provide an overview of the Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units and Leadership Group for an Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Consortium FOAs and to address questions from potential applicants. The webinar is optional and not required for application submission. The webinar may conclude before the scheduled time depending on the number of questions.

NIAID staff will post information about how to participate in the Webinar at https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/future-infectious-disease-research. Prospective applicants are encouraged to submit their questions or comments regarding the FOAs in advance to VTEU2020@niaid.nih.gov by October 30, 2018. Following the webinar, NIAID will post the slides presented during the Webinar on the same website.

FAQs - NIAID has generated a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and answers related to the Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units and Leadership Group for an Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Consortium FOAs available at: https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/future-infectious-disease-research/questions-answers. These FAQs may be updated with additional questions and answers without further notice.
