National Institute on Aging(NIA)

The National Institute on Aging invites research that examines sex and gender factors and their intersections to improve understanding of health and disease in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Research in NIA applications must focus on a high-priority topic of interest specified in PAR-19-070: "Research on Current Topics in Alzheimer's Disease and Its Related Dementias (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)".

National Institute on Aging (NIA)

The National Institute on Aging will only accept research that examines sex and gender factors and their intersections to improve the understanding of health and disease in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease related dementias (AD/ADRD). Areas of AD/ADRD research emphasis include, but are not limited to, those identified in NIA’s published AD/ADRD funding opportunities: https://www.nia.nih.gov/research/grants-funding/announcements. Aging-relevant applications that do not study AD/ADRD are non-responsive and will not be reviewed.
