Purpose

This Notice informs the research community of the following changes to Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) RFA-AG-20-035 "Building Resources for the Basic Biology of Aging in Health Disparities Research (R24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".

Part 2. Section I. Funding Opportunity Description, Research Objectives

Current language:

Applicants should include researchers from, at minimum, the following four disciplines (or some variation of these disciplines, but not limited to those identified here):

• Basic biology of aging
• Epidemiology
• Quantitative genetics
• Computational biology and/or artificial intelligence

Modified to read:

Applicants should include researchers from, at minimum, the following two disciplines (or some variation of these disciplines, but not limited to those identified here):

• Basic biology of aging
• Epidemiology

Applicants are encouraged to include expertise in the following two disciplines, as appropriate to the aims of the application:

• Quantitative genetics
• Computational biology and/or artificial intelligence

Part 2. Section II. Award Information, Award Budget

Current language:

Applications requesting direct costs up to $300,000 will be accepted. Awards depend on the availability of funds and sufficiently meritorious applications.

Modified to read:

Applications requesting direct costs up to $330,000 will be accepted. Awards depend on the availability of funds and sufficiently meritorious applications.

All other aspects of this FOA remain unchanged.
