SUBMISSION DATE FOR NIGMS-SPONSORED POSTDOCTORAL TRAINING GRANT Release Date: May 1, 1998 P.T. National Institute of General Medical Sciences In order to facilitate review and provide early notification of funding decisions, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) is requiring a single receipt date of January 10 for training grant applicants (T32 awards) in the four postdoctoral research training areas sponsored by NIGMS (Anesthesiology, Clinical Pharmacology, Medical Genetics, and Trauma and Burn Injury). This receipt date will facilitate grouping the NIGMS-sponsored postdoctoral training applications together for common review. These applications would then be considered at the September/October National Advisory General Medical Science Council (NAGMSC). In most cases, early notification of funding decisions for these applications will then be made in November or December. As usual, funding is subject to the availability of funds.
