NIH Web Services
NIH offers web services related to NIH application submission and grant data.
In April 2012, NIH expanded available services to include: Prior Grant Request, Previous Submission Request, FOA Information Request, and Stem Cell Line Status Request.
Additional service planned in 2013 include: a Validation Service to do pre-submisission validation check of complex, multi-project applications and a service to return a preview of the application image in the format used by NIH.
Accessing NIH Web Services
In order to take advantage of these services in both the External User Acceptance Test (Ext-UAT) environment and the production environment, you must submit the System-to-System Certificate Access Request form (PDF, 74 KB) to the Help Desk for processing. The Help Desk staff will endeavor to process your request, register your certificate information, and respond to you with a confirmation message within 5 business days of submission.
Please note that it is your responsibility to notify eRA to update your registration if your certificate expires or changes in any way. Allow at least 5 business days to action an update request to ensure you do not experience a lapse in service.
