The Peer Review Advisory Committee (PRAC) was established in 2005 to provide technical and scientific advice and recommendations to the NIH Director, the Deputy Director for Extramural Research, and the Director of the Center for Scientific Review (CSR) on all procedures and policies related to the process of peer review by which the scientific and technical merit of NIH grant applications is assessed. The PRAC will be involved in all matters concerning the policy, practice, coordination, and evaluation of peer review at the NIH. This includes peer review at the CSR as well as peer review in the NIH Institutes and Centers.
